What is the PRA? What can it do for social workers, case managers, and consumers?
SUNDAY, JULY 28th, 2013:
CER will close the office at 2pm tomorrow because of TS Flossie. The On-Call will start at 2pm. The storm is expected to hit the Big Island at 6am tomorrow, and hit Oahu at 6pm. The Dept. of Emergency Mgmt. recommends that you should be off the roads at 6pm.
Do not panic, but be prepared:
The Department of Emergency Management recommends the following preparedness actions and procedures:
Tsunami Warning For Hawaii, but the waves are predicted to be small.
FIRST, REMAIN CALM.
The prediction is that it is supposed to hit about 10:30 pm tonight, Saturday Oct. 27th, 2012.
On Oahu, if there are any waves, the waves should be small. If you live directly on the beach, or on the ground floor within a mile or so of the beach, then just be aware that some minor flooding could occur. However, there is currently no information that that there is any danger.
THIS IS NOT LIKE THE RECENT EARTHQUAKE IN JAPAN! THIS WAS A SMALLER EARTHQUAKE IN BRITISH COLUMBIA.
If you are not within a mile or so of the beach, then nothing should effect you.
If there are any concerns, call the CER Crisis Line at 942-7884.
Check out the “Network of Care” website HERE.
It is a place for a variety of mental health resources!
